Predictions!
Cutting it fine here, but I have some Apple Tablet predictions too!
- It will be exactly what you thought it would be, and you will delight in telling the internet as much
- Tomorrow, the number of Apple pundits on the web will dramatically decrease, but not before tallying how many of their predictions were correct
- TUAW will have absolutely nothing of interest to say, and their “meta-liveblog,” like the last one, will simply be repeated from someone else’s actual liveblog
- John Gruber will say something smart, everybody will agree, and probably already had that idea but hadn’t written it down yet
- Marco is hoping to fuck that it doesn’t make Instapaper obsolete, while the Read It Later guys don’t really care, because they’re waiting to see what Marco does first, so they can do it too
- Mail will still be a fucking terrible e-mail client
- Someone is going to have an opinion about Jobs’ health
- Arrington will file a lawsuit against Apple, because he had this idea first
- Apple’s stock will drop, financial “experts” will herald this as the end of Apple’s reign and the stupidest thing they’ve ever done
- Within a week, Apple’s stock will be higher than it is now, not a single financial “expert” will be willing to admit that they were wrong, and will instead insist that the crash is days away
- Days will turn into weeks
- Weeks will turn into months
- Months will turn into a “Claim Chowder” post on Daring Fireball
- Somebody will make a bunch of stupid, jokey predictions, hours before the event, that won’t actually be very funny
